Weight of the World
Artist(s): HU Shi, LIN Lin
Date: 24 Nov - 29 Dec 2012

There are those abstract figure units piling up on the artworks created by two young artists Hu Shi and Lin Lin.

Where does it come from?

When whose daily industrial products are decorated and wraped by steels and cements, our concrete life suddenly turns into confusing and unapproachable. The two artists, however, empower the abstract figures which is "chromosome-like" units, by means of collage and coloring, to make the virtual things visible and come to life. The whole exhibition represent the subtle relationship between abstract symbols and concrete materials, which's the best interpretation of the pith of Chinese Taoism "Everything on the earth is generated by being, and being comes from nothingness".
