Among young chinese artists for contemporary art, some of them keep realistic techniques in painting evolve their way of expression into symbolism, and even surrealism, this is an interesting revolution of chinese contemporary art which is called "The Art of Mutation".

In addition to maintaining chinese characteristics and mood in contemporary realistic painting, today's chinese young artists are making reflection upon history and current society of China with western way of critical and reflective thinking. and this is also what we are "focusing" on in this exhibition.
