The 8th edition Art Beijing Art Fair will be grandly launched at Agricultural Exhibition Center Beijing. There are around 150 art organizations participated in Art Beijing 2013. The exhibition area is still divided into Contemporary Art section and Classic Art section, with the exhibition area reaching 20,000 ㎡, and the exhibits covering both contemporary and classic artworks, such as oil painting, print, sketch, sculpture, device, image, Chinese calligraphy and painting, contemporary ink painting, porcelain, furniture, and jewelry, etc.

Up to Jan. 31, 2013, “Art Beijing” had received the applications of 247 art galleries and art agencies worldwide for attending the exhibition. The Art Beijing Academic Committee finally selected nearly 150 art organizations, which formed the main force for Art Beijing 2013.

This year, the well-known art galleries both at home and abroad will continue to attend the Fair this year, including ShanghART Gallery, Tang Contemporary Art Center, Beijing Commune, GALLERIA CONTINUA, Chambers Fine Art, Lin & Lin Gallery, Eslite Gallery, Tina Keng Gallery, Asia Art Center, Hwas’ Gallery, Shanghai Author Gallery, France Paris Dumonteil, Galerie CINQUINI, and Classicjen Western Fineart Salon, etc.

In addition, there are more than a third of art galleries in the Contemporary Art section this year have attended Art Beijing for the first time, and nearly 80% of art agencies in the Classic Art section have also embraced their maiden exhibition in Art Beijing, including ELMS LESTERS PAINTING ROOMS and Halcyon Gallery from London UK, Toulouse Antique Gallery from US, DARA Art Centre from Ukraine, Litvak Gallery from Israel, Shanghai Gallery of Art, Longmen Art Projects, OTHER GALLERY, Wilber Gallery, ZENDAI ART from Guang Zhou.

This program aims to explore the creative imaginations of children from Mercedes-Benz customers and provides them with a top national stage to present their artistic talents. Over 150 pieces of artwork have been collected from the customers all across China for 2013 Mercedes-Benz Art Kids, and each one reveals the unique and innovative perspectives inherent in young artists. Audiences are sure to fall under the spell of the collection’s vivid imagination and artistic appeal. Mercedes-Benz together with Art Beijing will continue to provide the premiere platform for both artists and art enthusiasts and present extraordinary feasts of creativity for audiences all over the world.
