140sqm Gallery is founded in March 2007. Located at the center of former French concession in Shanghai,  on Fuxing Zhong Lu, on the second floor of a historic 1924 structure, the Blackstone apartment building.

140sqm Gallery focuses on international conceptual art. It exhibits established international artists, but also aims to discover and showcase young talent.
 
Liu Ying Mei, the gallery’s founder, is originally from Beijing, where she was a curator of contemporary art shows. In the past years she has worked on a number of contemporary art exhibitions in China and abroad, and as a consultant for collectors and Institutions.
