1918ArtSPACE is proud to present a group exhibition that portrays the concept and the process of transition. The scope of transition involves constant changes and the totalizing effort spent during the long period of time of practice from one point to another, whether those points go from the previous exhibition to the future one, from something old to something new, from 2008 to 2009. Art works displayed are small in physical dimensions, but they constitute a gigantic cycle of how art and life are changing through the flowing movement in time and space. They are fragments and steps on the way of transition into the future.

Participating artists are “artists-in-between”. Absorbing current flavors of Chinese cultural and social code, they are entering a new stage of creativity period moved and inspired by the layered experience. At the same time, we, spectators of their works, are filtering the impressions giving the new essence to the circle made of art bodies, artists and viewers. In this sense, we all belong to this sustaining process of transition.

Transition exhibition marks the very new beginning of all the future art-related activities and events to be presented in 2009 by 1918ArtSPACE.
