Gaoqian was born in Nanjing in 1973.She got the bachelor’s degree in1995 and the master’s degree in1998 after years of study in Chinese Painting Major of Art Department in Nanjing Art Institute. He now is the director of Educational Department in Shanghai Art Gallery.

Gao Qian was born in the year 1973, in Nanjing, Jiangsu province. Gao Qian studied in the Fine Arts Department of Nanjing Art Academy. In the year 1995 she got the Bachelor's Degree in Chinese Painting, and in the year 1998 she got her Master’s Degree in Chinese Painting. Now she is the director of the education institute of Shanghai Art Museum.
In the year 1994:
One of her works named woman body was shown in the 3rd National Exhibition of Chinese Traditional Painting in Nanjing City.
Her work named visible cloud was shown in the Art Invitation Exhibition of China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and the work was collected in this volume of paintings. Held in Hong Kong.
Her work named Pilgrimages of Laboleng Temple was shown in the Exhibition of 45th Anniversary of PRC Founding, Nanjing, Jiangsu 1994.
