Vanishing Point
by Shun Art Gallery
Location: Shun Art Gallery
Artist(s): GROUP SHOW
Date: 7 Sep - 19 Oct 2014

Shun Art Gallery presents a group exhibition featuring artists from China and Japan:  Gong Xinru(China), Masahiro Masuda(Japan) and Ken Hamaguchi(Japan). The title of the exhibition is inspired from Gong Xinru's work Highway. The painting Highway shows a vanishing point that emerges from the end of the trafflic lane and lines, both concrete and abstract. The vanishing point reveals the fact it is a never-ending point that cannot be reached. In contrast, Richard C. Sarafian's film Vanishing Point describes the ideation that the "vanishing point" is the final limit an individual reaches.
