Born in Hokkaido, graduated from Musashino Art College, Yuma has resided in New York since 1968. Throughout her lives both as painter / performance artist and mother, She has painted continuously for decades, both in acrylic and oil.
After a solo exhibition at the Ithea gallery ( New York) in 2003, Yuma chose the path of a professional painter, and has done numerous shows and exhibitions throughout NYC and Japan.
"I create my works to celebrate my thoughts of gratitude, the Mystery of Life and the impulse of creation. For that reason, most of my creations are based on the harmonic waves of love, great universal power, and the deep mystery of life and death.
