Arts Santa Mònica is open to all the arts. It proposes a space that contemporary art can share with other expressive disciplines such as film, architecture, theatre, dance, music, literature and other forms of creative endeavour. Many artists today work on a regular basis with writers, philosophers, sociologists, historians, anthropologist and scientists to expand their creative field. The boundaries between the arts are becoming more porous by the day. From a multidisciplinary and transversal perspective, the Arts section, together with those of Science and Communication, actively promotes interdisciplinary working and ensures the production, diffusion and reflection of new creations and new ideas, which by linking past, present and future continually review the cultural tradition itself and in so doing enable us to think the unfolding of contemporary creation in an international and global context.
