Traveling without Moving
Artist(s): So Young CHUNG
Date: 13 Apr - 12 May 2013

D Project Space is pleased to announce So Young Jeong's exhibition 'Traveling without Moving'. In this exhibition, the artist shows the spatial installation newly experienced by observation and recognition for a relational changing process of a city and nature.
Current 'city' seems that it is occupied by artificial buildings, but actually based on geological changes. A quickly produced and consumed time of city and a slowly processed time of nature are overlapped in a same space and they evolve together through conflicting and affecting on each other. So Young Jeong invites us to the gap between them, provides the time travel without moving.
For the exhibition, she created an artificial installation reminding of sedimentary layers, and set up the scenario about cultivating fragments from there. And through fragments processed as sculpture in a glass box, it presents the theme of the exhibition.
