Jung Hye-Ryun was born in Busan, Korea in 1977. She finished her undergraduate graduate courses majoring in sculpture at the Busan National University. Currently, she has completed her doctoral program.Jung Hye-Ryun has held fifteen solo exhibitions including her first one in 2003. In addition, she participated in 2007 International Incheon Women Artists' Biennale and Busan Biennale 2010. She has received many awards from various art museums and institutions such as 'Young Sculptor of the Year' at Kim Chong Yung Museum, Korea in 2012.She is very interested in images or moldings created at the moment when the passed time is combined with the present time. She creates simple images and constructs into a minimal module. Then she reconstructs the modules in the new space. She aims to construct a space by the newly created modules through the residency in Kuandu Museum.
