WIll Things Ever Get Better?
Artist(s): XIANG Jing, QU Guangci
Date: 9 Sep - 17 Oct 2012

It's a great honor for Moca Shanghai to work with two outstanding sculpturers Xiang Jing and Qu Guangci."Will Things Ever Get Better?" Xiang Jing+ Qu Guangci Joint Exhibition tries to experience, realize and question life, art, the past, the present or the future, hoping the visitors can reflect on their life.

From Shanghai to Beijing, Xiang Jing and Qu Guangci looked on the prosperity and the vanity, the beauty and the emptiness of the two cites, and askedpeople "Will things ever get better?". Xiang's works can be classified into two parts: acrobatics and animal. Andin fact they are sending out just one information:the situation.  Acrobatics and reality are living in each other; while the animal part tells people artist's sympathy and excessive feelings towards the whole universe.

Qu Guangci's Twitters and pictured the pomps and vanities of this heartless world. The artist listened to the non-understandable language, trying to concretize the wonderfulness right into small fatty faces.

We hope the two artists' perspectives can help the visitors to be able to look inside themselves.  The artistic works can be treated as a special language, and it takes on different forms to question the current society.
Unanswered though, we believe every visitor can find their own answer.
