“Poetry of Russian soul” – the exhibition of 9 artists, graduates of Repin and Surikov Institutes of different years.

20 Century Art Gallery presents modern traditional realistic painting and painting of the second part of the past century – period of the flowering of the Soviet art. The most famous center of Russian fine arts development is Repin State Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture. Russian Art Academy since the arrangement in 1757 so far educates artists of the highest level. Artists with great names: Vasili Surikov, Ilya Repin, Valentin Serov, Abram Arhipov, Nikolay Feshin, etc. graduated from the Academy. Repin Institute preserved traditions of realistic drawing and painting through all years of changes of 20th century.

Artworks of the graduates of Repin and Surikov Institutes of different graduations since 1953 to 2006 which have achieved fame and acknowledgement are represented in exposition.
