Rudolf Steiner: Das Reich Der Angeloi

Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925) is Goethe researcher, the originator of Anthroposophy, the philosopher as well as well-known instructor. The exhibition consists of three sections to explore Steiner in depth. 

First is drawing on blackboard. He used the blackboard to teach farmers, labors and scholars. His students wanted to preserve his drawings and texts so that put a black paper on the board before start. He left about 1000 drawing for 6 years before he died and the exhibition will show 24 pieces from latter years. Drawing with strong stroke in red and yellow is still luminous. Recently, these works get attention as a new field of culture called 'Visual thinking.'

Second section consists of his architecture and design. 300 documentary photographs and the model of 'the first Goetheanum' which began in 1913 and was destroyed by fire in 1922, and study drawings announced in Japan for the first time will be on view. Also, currently used furnitures and a lamp, and ornaments will be displayed to verify his philosophy's practice. 

The last section is about 'the second Goetheanum' in Dornach, Switzerland. Diorama of the building and surroundings expressed by Kyohei Sakaguchi, the artist and the architect, Risaku Suzuki's photograph and new high-vision video recorded for the exhibition will be on display. Also, Olafur Eliasson, who greatly affected by Steiner, will show his design works.
