Signal 8 is The Cat Street Gallery’s annual salon show and is back for a fourth year and in its biggest incarnation yet. The exhibition acts as both a preview of new and upcoming artists that the gallery will be working with, and as a retrospective of important works shown throughout the year.
The exhibition will take place across two adjacent galleries. At The Cat Street Gallery (222 Hollywood Road) the show will be purely photographic featuring emerging artists such as locally based American photographer Denice Hough's hauntingly beautiful images of urban decay, which will be shown at the gallery for the first time anywhere in the world.
The exhibition continues on at The Space (210 Hollywood Road) which will showcase a mixture of painting, sculpture and installation works by 28 artists including specially created Hong Kong works by the Sovereign Art Prize shortlisted couple, Rob and Nick Carter, whose images have been exhibited internationally and are part of the collection at the Victoria and Albert Museum, along side Jeremy Butler, Tony Lloyd and Stuart Semple.
