The CUHK Fine Arts Department is the first tertiary education department in Hong Kong to provide both Chinese and Western art education as well as art history. It has fostered and explored the broad spectrum of artistic talents over the past fifty years. The annual event, "The Art of CUHK 2011", will be featured with works by both undergraduate and postgraduate students accompanied by an invitational exhibition — "Oil paintings of China Central Academy of Fine Arts". The activities will take place in various venues on the campus. The opening will be held on 28th May, Saturday, 3 pm at the Art Museum, Main Campus of CUHK.
