The Asia Hotel Art Fair, Asia’s leading hotel art fair, will return for its fourth Hong Kong edition in February 2013. The show will be held at luxury hotel partner, the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong. An unconventional and innovative exhibition concept.

Asia Hotel Art Fair displays artworks in luxury hotel rooms, allowing collectors and art lovers to view and appreciate the work in a relaxed, homely setting. AHAF Hong Kong 2013 will showcase over 3,000 of the best contemporary Asian art pieces from more than 60 premium regional galleries in countries such as Hong Kong, China, Japan and Korea. An extensive variety of works will be on show, from photography to paintings to sculptures, transforming three floors and 86 rooms at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong into the city’s most exciting and luxurious art space. AHAF Hong Kong 2013 will also feature lectures by industry experts, tours and artist talks.

Notable galleries participating in AHAF Hong Kong 2013 include CAIS Gallery, Dynasty Art Gallery, Fabrik Contemprary Art, Gallery EXIT, Keumsan Gallery, and Wellside Gallery. The works of contemporary Asian artists Ahn Jun, Chan-Hyo Bae, Daniel dela Cruz and Seo-Bo Park will join pieces by world renowned artists including Yayoi Kusama, Takashi Murakami and Julian Opie.

AHAF Hong Kong 2013 will also debut a special photography exhibition by Korean artists, “Beyond The Authenticity,” which will present the works of four young and established Korean artists Joon-Sung Bae, Chan-Hyo Bae, Ahn Jun and Dong-Yoon Kim. The exhibition will showcase art works by these artists which combine traditional photography, various medium and unique perspectives.

AHAF Hong Kong 2013 continues to build on Hong Kong’s position as a thriving art and culture hub by showcasing both established international artists and emerging contemporary artists from around the region, encouraging community involvement and exchange, and promoting cooperation amongst galleries.

Since its debut in 2010 in Hong Kong, Asia Hotel Art Fair’s visitor numbers have increased by 25%, with over 7,300 visitors attending AHAF Hong Kong 2012.
