For the past 18 months, performance artist Agnes Christina has immersed herself in Serat Centhini, a classical Javanese text, in a creative journey that spanned between Indonesia and Singapore. Reading Centhini: Suluk Tambangraras will see Agnes tackle the many facets of the text, creating a performance that expresses her unique reading of the text and its entanglements with contemporary life. This original performance will feature handpainted sets by visual artist Popok Tri Wahyudi, sound design by Lintang Radittya, and lighting design by Emanorwatty Saleh.
