Hosting by NRW KULTURsekretariat in Germany, 'Transfer Korea - NRW 2011/12/13' began in early 2011 with targeted research and a search for partners in the host country. This project is an organic archive of city, history and culture as well as ongoing practice in arts with a sharp criticism and productive opinions.

German and Korean artists have developed making a relationship between functions, regions, or civilizations, and material, psychological and emotional transition experiments in individual interest and field. Behavior of cognition in a strange life is completed by interaction. In this way, participating artists try to newly create own identity as crossing original perspective on memories during last three years and arts. As the last journey of Transfer project, 8 artists of a new exhibition focus on cultural exchange they have drawn and accidental dialogue with audience tracing such process.

One of various functions the project shares, 'cross criticism', is an important factor in this exhibition. Critical text recording presence of artwork and an innate flow of presence influence between the audience and artwork as sign and trace. The audience becomes a part of the exhibition meditating various scenes and emotions of today and an observer as potential flâneur, and a philosopher who look back our life and dwell on its meaning.

Rather than following obvious cliché like other 'an exchange events of contemporary art,' this exhibition will lead us to humanistic journey which can read different view of artists as a cultural text. This is a cultural and historical crossing point between two countries as well as emphasis on significance and value of 'Transfer Korea - NRW 2011/12/13,' 'Vitalization and Consilience of Function, Region, and discourse.'
