Artist(s): GROUP SHOW
Date: 13 Sep - 27 Sep 2013

The Devil is in the Details is an Open Set as a convergence project in collaboration with Arts Council Korea, Feelux Lighting Museum and Bang & Lee. The Open Set presents a new production in process and its result from a network formed by the three parties – art organization, artist, and industry, at Arko Art Center's Space Feelux and Archive Room along with The Devil is in the Details event on 13th and 14th September. The production consists of various installations, concerts and performances including a workshop by international artists, organized by Arts Council Korea and Feelux Lighting Museum, curated and produced by Bang & Lee, and supported by Feelux Lighting Company, Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts Baden-Württemberg, Karlsruhe Office for Cultural Affairs and Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design.

Project Open Set is a new frame for a cooperation between Korean and German artists, producers, researcher and technician. Participants plan installation, performance and event based on production, expand co-organization of institute, artist and industry to international exchange, and suggest a possibility of cooperating prototype to develop a new idea on the crossing of art and technology, and society and culture. the project makes critical and technical research platform through whole process from light module development to a final test using technique and material from Feelux lighting, and it will be applied to space design field including sound derived from it. Interpreting a concept of union, Open Set implies that it does not involve boundary point. In this context, a structure of project is based on a concept connecting and collecting scattered nodes. A cooperation between Arko center and Feelux will open a possibility of dispersed network, and local and international artists will create a stage through new art production without boundary.
