24th Fukuoka Prize Art and Culture “Nalini Malani Exhibition”

FAAM is pleased to present a special exhibition “Nalini Malani” in commemoration of her award-winning of Fukuoka Prize Art and Culture.

Nalini Malani is a leading Asian artist who has been internationally acclaimed for her large-scale spatial art combining installation and paintings. Focusing on the modern history of the Indian Subcontinent, she has been challenging universal themes, such as religious conflicts, war, oppression of women, environmental destruction, and etc. through her artworks

With “Hamlet Machine,” her visual installation created during her residency as the 1st participating artist in the FAAM’s artists in residence programme in 1999 and exhibited around the world, the exhibition also shows her large-sized painting “Despoiled Shore,” and her recent print “Cassandra’s Gift” and etc.
