Nostalgia : Paintings from Vietnam
Artist(s): GROUP SHOW
Date: 4 Jul - 1 Oct 2013

Being influenced by European culture, Vietnam has developed its unique aesthetic sense during the French colonial period. Some chic urbane tastes are reflected in its art works, even paintings, which illustrate tranquil natural surroundings or the ordinary people.

About thirty pieces of Vietnamese art with a distinct sense of nostalgia, from lacquer paints as glossy as enamel, to finely colored silk pieces and prints depicting the people.
