Born on 22nd August 1982 in New Delhi, Shubhra Das completed her bachelors in fine arts (specializing in applied arts) from College of Art New Delhi and a masters  in visual arts  specializing in painting from Lalit kala academy sansthaan Agra.

Shubhra rejoices in blending recognizable and non-recognizable forms that collaborate to originate into a design setting; there is a twist of variable elements that are graphically woven into it to transport the thoughts and emotions to the rightful zones. She derives the aspect of design from nature that she believes is profound in its culture. Nature is design for her that constitutes art and order governed by principles and based on some elements. She explains, "Design is everywhere. Nature is brimming over with endless designs. All man-made and natural objects are consciously or unconsciously governed by design. Then Nature has an abundant stock of it with all the essential qualities with emphasis to balance, rhythm, contrast, movement and pattern. The more I look at Nature's overlapping forms, textures and colour, I am able to create some abstract images that elaborates on a new interpretation of naturalism that delights the mind and soul."

The artist has exhibited widely in India and has also received many awards. She lives ans works in New Delhi.
