The roving and multiple racinating of Irene Kung started at birth in Berne, with binational parents.
Raised in the Alps with transatlantic and Mediterranean rites of passage, she thinks globally in several languages.

Kung has lived in France, Spain, and the United States, working as a graphic designer, painter, and
eventually as an art photographer. Her multicultural overview is matched by the panorama from her
terrace in Rome, her present point of departure.

Passionate but rational, Kung has the gift of establishing vibrant stately presences, and is also a master craftsman who reins in her emotions. Or, better, reigns over them with the most civilized control of her medium and its potentially insurgent contents.
