AFA (Art for All Society) is a non-profitable art organization established in 2007 in Macao. AFA’s aims are to enhance the development of Macao contemporary art, to facilitate local art creations as well as to assist the Macao SAR Government with the development of local Art and Cultural Industry. In the past four years, AFA have held more than 40 art exhibitions for Macao artists, participated in more than 10 international art fairs and established a certain position in the Macao, Beijing and international art circles. In this April, AFA introduced artworks from 20 Macao artists to the Museu do Oriente in Lisbon, Portugal, which created a significant page for Macao Contemporary art.
AFA endeavor to promote local art and culture is popular in international art media and the Achievement they received in the past four years has been widely recognized. AFA ranked 69 in the "China Top 100 List Gallery (2010-2011)" this year, which represents that AFA steps into a more professional phase. In their 4th anniversary, AFA is going to hold “Macau Scenery-AFA 4th Anniversary Exhibition” from 8th December,2011 to 20th January, 2012 at AFA Macau. In the theme of Macau scenery, it will showcase 30 pieces (sets) of artworks from 15 Macau artists, including Chao Chi Chun, Coke Wong, Fortes Pakeong Sequeira, James Chu, José Drummond, James Wong, Konstantin Bessmertny, Lai Sio Kit, Lai Ieng, Nick Tai, Pasu, Peng Yun, Sylviye Lei, Tong Chong, , Ung Vai Meng. By holding this exhibition, AFA hope to show the unique and excellent works of Macao art, which aim to enhance the audience’s understanding of the development of Macao Contemporary Art.
