The Opening of “She says – Peng Yun solo exhibition”will take place at 6:30 p.m. at AFA space on 4 October, 2011( Friday). Peng Yun is a female Macao artist, it is her first solo exhibition after moving to Macau. For her it is a new phase of her life. 25 pieces(set) of photography, 16 pieces of light boxes as well as two sets of video artworks will be showcased in this exhibition.

From the exhibition, we can view the artist tries to explore the theme of “Love” from her female’s angle. Curator Alice Kok says, “ That is why when she works with her camera, she always shows a sense of absoluteness to her subjects, as if there is nothing left but only her and her beautiful ladies with their deep down stories”. Her latest photography series “Lavinia who lives in Hill Penha” and “Crystal’s fitness regime” reveals the female’s feelings and the senses of love; it reflects Peng Yun’s growth steps from her 2007 video artwork “Ninthday Wind” to her 2011 new video “Wall”; In the series of “Day and Night”, Peng Yun travels to Rome and meets homosexual love. Put under the spotlight of the light boxes, love has transcended the limit of gender and became “Her” privilege.
