Gallery Hyundai presents a group exhibition focusing on works on paper by Korean artists who have led Korean modern art history. Those works on paper are the basis of artists' consciousness and core of their art world. Also, those works are very special in Korean modern art. During the hardships of life after the Korean war, paper was the only medium to keep working on art. Since entering the contemporary society, the artists treat works on paper as contemporary value of traditional painting so that they have expressed unique characteristics actively. Through a change in artwork on paper, Korean art could secure internationality.
