Jinpyo Jun explores a pictorial meaning in terms of a process, not completion, at this exhibition.
His work starts from a process to an essence of painting. As empirical awareness cannot be absolute, he tries to provide a possibility of free thinking through artworks. He rejects a recreating tendency the existing painting has, and expects to get a new meaning according to a relationship between the audience, artwork and the artist.
The artwork with a familiar scene of construction site reveals his idea that incompletion can be complete through a process meaning on the construction site. Using orthogonal projection, the artwork breaks up perspective naturally set by our view and awareness. Effects of exaggerated chroma and sharp color contrast don't restrain each other but they are extended to out of canvas, rather than form overall unity.
