The cultural achievement including arts and philosophy started from profound contemplation and space. However, the right kind of environment for profound tenet has been disappeared since people pursue mass information and the principle of 'speed and entertainment'. Walter Benjamin said "Boredom is the dream bird that hatches the egg of experience'. If sleep is the peak of physical relaxation, deep boredom is the peak of spiritual relaxation. 
A recovery of reflective life through deep boredom is the most important precondition to art form. A person can assimilate with the world of objects when being deep in thought. Expectation that art would change something has been blurred, but it is hard to say that art is in the stage of triviality and decoration. It looks impossible to keep distance with the era which the pace of change in the world of product and mechanism reorganize and dominate our world and sense. However if all contemplative factors are removed from people and  we rely on showy side of the world, our life will definitely be finished with fatal overconsciousness. Thus, slow pace of art is still valid. That is the only comfort to paint.
