"The paintings of Mr. Mitamura are full of clearly colored forms which are extremely simplifiedand no one can imagine what were his original conceptions, Generally speaking, abstract paintings have tendency to be regarded as inorganic, cold and difficult to understand. But Mitamura's paintings have something warm. Even if I try hard I'm sure that I can't paint such essential picturesas his, so I adore his paintings very much", said Kiyoshi Hirai, professor emeritus of Tokyo Institute of Technology.
