Born 1970 in Huanren, Liaoning province.

The work of conceptual artist, filmmaker, and photographer Liu Xun has been exhibited in various solo and group shows in Changsha, Pingyao, the 798 Art Zone in Beijing, as well as in various international photography, film and video festivals like Utrecht, Berlin, Paris, Rio de Janeiro or Basel.

In addition, Liu has in recent years worked actively as a curator, promoting artists working with video art and new media. Liu is presently Assistant Professor at the Design and Art College of Hunan, and divides his time between Changsha and Beijing.
