This exhibition is named “Here, There, Where?”. Two young artists born in 1980s, Sim Chan and Sun Yu, will explain the nature of human existence by virtue of relationship between human and architecture( material world) and that between human and selfhood( inward world). In the opinion of Jean Paul Sartre: World, consciousness and self-consciousness, all of these are not an early-and-late order of time but a bipolarity of individual existence. Consciousness develops in time and space comprising our understanding towards external world and internal self. At the same time, the influence of external world is an undercurrent dominating the advancing pace of people, which controlling our behavior in a subtle way. Which way to go?—following the arrangements of fate or pondering and listening to the monologue of our heart? Living here or living at other place, where is our destination? When will the meaning of life shed light to us? Every people can find an answer to the questions in the exhibition, for you own, one and only.
