‘Reading’, the group exhibition was conceived to explore the idea and act of ‘reading’. The show frames ‘reading’ in various aspects, for instance, the reception and process of information, the translation/transformation of given materials, a specific form of understanding and communicating, etc. Also, the show takes into consideration the performative respect of reading, which has long been part of the tradition and cultures in China and other countries. As we might notice, ‘reading’ has always been a platform and provides occasions for artists and literati to gather, create and confront with each other. As a specific skill and form, reading in our time connects a variety of media and professions…

The exhibition will also be taking place at Le Space, Room 807, No. 33 Sichuan Zhong Lu, Shanghai from October 12th to November 17th 2013.
