For its first photography exhibition, the Shanghai Dumonteil Gallery is proud and happy to show the works of the so talented French photographer Jacques Suzor.
Jacques Suzor started his photography work only ten years ago. Through a deep analysis and a slow creative process, he produced this series of still-lives, which carry us into a poetic world.
Beforehand Jacques Suzor used poetry and philosophy to express his artistic quest.
Working with salvaged materials and natural elements, Jacques Suzor’s work try to redefine in a contemporary way still-lives technically as well as aesthetically. His pictures, between suggested realism almost non figurative sometimes and symbolism, reveal the poetry and the beauty of those trashed elements through daring compositions which shake up still-life standards.
At a time when the planet Earth is in danger or at least mismanaged mostly due to the Human activity, Jacques Suzor’s photography reminds us that the environmental questions are essential. Beyond this alarming message, he is proving that one more time, beauty reigns overall and that Man can produce it by the artistic creation.
This exhibition is the First one of a sery of photography exhibitions regarding Nature and its image.
