Space Extended - Erdos Needle is exactly what the title suggests: a steel needle, with a cluster light on its top. At night, the ray of light, stretching straight into the sky, seems to be able to visually extend the thread of the needle. With its soft power, the work is a symbol of sewing, linking, accuracy and order. Concrete and simple, the form of the work has many abstract meanings and provides the audience with wide scope for imagination. In the complex and disturbing circumstances of our times, it finds a way to combine the abstract and the concrete, exhibiting the Chinese humanistic attitude, way of thinking and philosophical tradition.  © Photo credit: Tony Metaxas
