Li Songhua's work is a simple twist, to make something which seems impossible in real life into something possible in art. Two pieces of heavy iron board were pressed against a big granite stone, then twisted while holding both ends. Common sense tells us that you cannot twist iron and granite in the same time. But the artist makes this happen. Simple and sophisticated at the same time, Li Songhua's contemporary abstract sculpture emphasizes the idea of mankind's power to show its industry, its address and its resources of the mind.
