To inaugurate our new space, front line contemporary will hold a show called "Contemplation" featuring works by CAI Hongshuo, DONG Wensheng and HE Saibang.

Born in 1979, CAI Hongshuo currently lives in the countryside in Zhejiang where he leads the life of the contemplative recluse, fishing and observing nature, using black & white X-ray photography to focus on the inner world of all things and beings.

55 year old HE Saibang's exquisite work has achieved excellence thanks to his ability to put his own very personal visual experience of the world on paper.

DONG Wensheng’s conceptual photography uses the natural and architectural elements of Chinese Gardens and other natural landscapes as a stage setting to insert objects the viewer would not expect to see. Framed by background lighting, the artist creates an almost magical space for the viewer to contemplate beauty, intimacy, mystery and engage in a deeper philosophical consideration of the value of life.
