Double Solo is an exhibition of sights and sounds, the elements that concern space-time and non-narrative being.

Jun-Y CIAO and TAO Yi are simultaneously carrying out two sets of happenings- making paintings and music. Their works of making paintings and creating musical pieces are independent from one and other, yet draw a parallel in-between. These artists' non-presentational paintings reject any presumption of inspirational lure, critical intent and narrative interpretation. Their music is work of improvisation using the artists' body movement, their states of mind and anything else in between the natural surroundings. The sights and sounds that the viewers would experience are the outpour of artists' contented self-being.  

For the exhibition, artist Jun-Y CIAO will be creating an on-site wall painting while TAO Yi will be showing works on canvas in various sizes. Musical pieces written by the two artists will be performed by cellist WANG Tian and flutist PING Ping during the opening reception.
