Tinnakorn, one of Thailand’s leading artists, is loved by his country for representing life in rural Thailand with grace and beauty. In 2007, the National Gallery of Art in Bangkok held a solo exhibit for the then 37-year-old artist. However, it is his mastery of printmaking techniques that have garnered him respect in the international art world, particularly in Japan where the Fukuoka Museum has collected his work. For Tinnakorn’s first solo exhibit in China, Leo Gallery will present a collection of mixed media on paper works – combining pastel, pencil, watercolor, and ink, these works are the raw origins of Tinnakorn’s large-scale paintings.
