Glass art is part creative intentionality, part chance. There are unpredictable results that come with every kiln firing. Contemporary artist Wang Qin talks about this union of genius and serendipity in this twocities lecture. A talented young artist in China's emerging glass art scene, Wang Qin will present on the modern techniques of glass casting. He will also speak about his personal process and unique concept of translating traditional Chinese calligraphy through modern sculptural glass art works.
