In November 7th 2008 PIFO New Art Studios is going to hold Painting and Handwork’2008 - Painting and Handwork Third Exhibition. There are altogether 14 artists in this exhibition. They are Chen Jiaoyu, Chen Kun, Hu Qinwu, Huang Yang, Jia Jianghong, Liu Bin, Li Hongjun, Li Jie, Li Mengyuan, Wu Di, Xie Molin, Xu Shuo, Zhuo Fan and new installation and paintings newly created will be shown in this exhibition. In the environments that part of contemporary art creation and gallery operational mechanism are doubted and art market tends to calm down, Painting and Handwork’2008 makes attempt at answers for contemporary art by showing excellent art works. Artists try to establish their own methodology and logic system, making explanation for developing contemporary art in different ways. Back to handwork, the exhibition intends to explore Painting and Handwork lessons deeply which shows simple and pure art spirit. It is not only respect and retrospect to Painting and Handwork lessons which founded hundred of years ago, but also expectation that leading and experimental judgments of Painting and Handwork will become methodology and help contemporary art progress.
