Established in May 2006, Pifo New Art Studios is an art gallery committed to discovering and supporting emerging artists and to the promotion of painting and artworks of different media of video, photography and installation. With a total display space of 1,500 square metres at both the Suojiacun International Art Camp and Caochangdi in Beijing, Pifo aims at presenting the diversity of Chinese contemporary art and facilitating its development and internationalization.

Pifo New Art Studios represents a dozen of important new artists in China, including  Liu Zhiyi, Fan Mingzheng, Wu Di, Wei Yan, Kang Haitao, Wu Jian’an, Li Hongjun, Huang Yang, Shao Kun, Tan Jun, Liu Wentao, Wu Haizhou and Xu Shuo. Cooperate artist including Wang Chuan,Hu Shengping,Song Kun,Fan Tianyuan,Ma Ke,Xiong Yu,Wei Jia,Wang Guangle and Kang Jianfei.Pifo Pursues its goal through collecting good contemporary art and through high quality and continued art exhibitions, such as the A+A and Painting and Handwork series, both annual group shows curated by Pifo where young contemporary artist emerge. While A+A is already one of the best platforms for young contemporary Chinese artists, Painting and Handwork is becoming a performance stage for experimental installation, video and mixed media works. Pifo also presents other theme exhibitions, with similar strong resonance from the audience.

With a vision of being a professional platform for art exhibition, publishing and exchanges, Pifo New Art Studios will continue to demonstrate the creativity in present new art habitat, discover talented artists and present the diversity in new art production, all through exhibitions that contribute to China’s avant-garde young art.
