“Fragmented Nostalgia” by Cheng Yuyang reveals oneʼs inner world when waking up from a shattered dream, where the reality is interpreted in the most traditional art application yet with contemporary expressions. Thus, a world is depicted in its reverted black and white, Yin and Yang, in an innovative visual language.
The artist expects to correspond and react to these dreams by collecting the shattered memories, while considering our desire for a thorough interpretation to the illusions. Through an unspoken language beyond region, race, nationality and linguistics, the fragmented nostalgia resonates with each inner being.
