MR Gallery, established in 2008, is dedicated to working with and promoting selected artists worldwide who have special interests in contemporary photography. MR Gallery periodically organizes high-quality photography exhibitions, related academic symposia and cultural exchange programs to enhance the dialogues and exchanges between the contemporary photography fields at home and abroad. In additions to the exhibitions and academic programs, MR Gallery also publishes exhibition catalogues and books on artists and artists’ projects. MR Gallery has a designated fund to collect the works of selected contemporary artists as a way to support artists’ practice that we deeply believed in.

MR Gallery is located in the heart of the 798 Art District in Beijing. It has five semi-independent galleries, with a total area of 500 square meters. In addition, MR Gallery has a 400 square meter loft space in the Huan Tie Art District as a special exhibition space and a studio for artists in residency from home and abroad to facilitate their projects in Beijing.
