State-of-the-Arts Gallery and Blindonkey Cultural Association are delighted to present the finalists artworks of the International Donkey Art Prize 2012. This event is part of a global touring exhibition that will take place across three continents, traveling through Milan, Miami, Hong Kong and Madrid, with the intention to connect art with the thought of internationality. And State-of-the-Arts Gallery is proud to be the venue supporter of their Hong Kong event. The exhibition will showcase 10 pieces of the finalists works among the total of 100 pieces, and it runs from 19th to 31st August, 2012.

Donkey Art Prize, at its second edition, is included as one of the fifty best photo contests in the world, and has discovered some very interest talents in the past year. Contestants come from all over the world. The organizer of The Prize, Blindonkey Cultural Association is a non-profit organization based in Verona, Italy that strives to create and maintain a close network of artists, galleries and art-lovers. The Prize is dedicated to helping young and emerging talents gain their first insight into the art industry and more exposure in the market. The artworks displayed include the two winning pieces – ‘Thorny Anatomica’ (painting) by Nicolas Blowers (Australia) and ‘Dependency n 15’ (photo & digital art) by Giovanni Presutti (Italy).

The internationality of the Donkey Art Prize echoed with the mission of our gallery in bringing overseas emerging talents to the Asian market and offering them a platform to shine and speak with the crowd. Hoping to represent the sense of a connected world in the spirit of art, our gallery reinforces the multicultural tastes and remains an open heart when it comes to artwork selection, curation and presentation.

The Opening Reception will be held on 23 August 2012 at State-of-the-Arts Gallery. Selected artists will be present.
