Location: State-of-the-Arts Gallery
Date: 25 Jul - 7 Aug 2011

State-of-the-Arts Foundation is hosting an event at State-of-the-Arts Gallery. This exhibition promotes the arts in Hong Kong and is a platform for both established and emerging artists. There will be an eclectic range of different art and styles, from art jewellery, to paintings, photographic light boxes, sculpture, etc.' The exhibition will take place from July 25th 2011 – August 7th 2011. Through this exhibition, the Foundation will launch our new range of Art Premium products and we hope to expose these wonderful pieces to a wider audience.

Samantha Kierath makes mixed media hangings from newspaper ink and objects collected over time, Ayumi Adachi paints minimalistic, elegant pieces and Jeremy Jangord makes photographic light boxes where each photograph tells a story. The art jewellery is represented by Emi Nakashima who makes delicate pieces, Danielle Tsang whose works are minimalistic and classic, Martha Vargas who has a lot of detail and components on her pieces and Sanae Takahata who makes large colourful broaches. The wall sculpture is brought by Margit Denz who makes ceramic hearts and Yuki Matsueda who makes 3D pop-out pieces. The sculpture is represented by Xiaoli Yang who paints sections of known paintings on HULUs and Akiko Sumiyoshi who makes ceramic rabbits. Kim Hyun Sook creates laser cut wall panels, and Jose makes special art artifacts.

With the gallery bursting with life and variety, it will be the perfect platform for these artists to show their skills and originality. We are collaborating with local and overseas artists, art teachers and different partner companies and chambers to host programs including wine-tastings, art talks and art workshops to engage the public. We are also showing a range of artwork by the Visual Arts students of the Hong Kong Baptist University, offering them a platform to show the public their passion.

State-of-the-Arts Foundation is a non-profit making arts organization founded in Hong Kong in 2011, aiming to support local & Asian talented artists to expand their potential in the professional field and to make art their lifelong career. The Foundation believes it is our responsibility to develop the arts industry into a professional platform and sustainable business in order to generate ongoing resources for continual cultural enrichment. We achieve this vision through education, resource support for artists and community involvement.
