Wong tin yan was born in Hong Kong at 1978. He graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, Chinese University of Hong Kong at 2000. He is working in an art studio as a head of branch now. As a part-time sculptor, he likes to collect some useless pieces of wood and either by Chinese joining techniques or D.I.Y. furniture style; he makes them become animal cartoon sculptures. They are not only affordable and comprehensible, but also symbolic of the philosophy about usefulness and uselessness, the wrestle between cleverness and stupidity, the transformation of gravitas into humor, and the migration from tradition to contemporary.  That’s why it is well received by the public and his works was collected by Hong Kong Museum of Art and private collectors. He was selected by The Art Promotion Office and Hong Kong Trade Department Council to join the local and overseas exhibition. Moreover, he was the first artist having exhibition in a showcase train of railway around the world.
