“Humanscape” is a series of drawings and paintings comprised by the only element – human. I am keen on pondering upon people’s motive and psychological state through observing and ruminating on their gesture and conversation. In my working process, I picked images of people from my collection. I did not just purely copy them; instead I spend time to study them so as to allow my feeling and the information given by the images integrated to certain status. During the reinterpretation of those images, composition exploited context; color, texture competed with the dormant beauty and likeness. Imperceptibly, the co-existence of good and evil in human life have etherealized into a series of human sceneries.
