Plum Blossoms Gallery takes great pleasure in presenting “Michael Kenna - Huangshan”, the artist's first one-man exhibition in Hong Kong. Widely considered the foremost landscape photographer of his generation, Michael Kenna is world famous for the meticulous printing and intimate scale of his photography.

The Huangshan Mountains have been a source of inspiration and a muse for Chinese painters and poets throughout history. Yet through the eyes of a Westerner and using a different medium of art, Kenna's photographs deftly capture the sublimity and grandeur of these peaks, at the same time reflecting on the tranquility of landscapes as well as the vestiges of man’s interaction with nature.

Join us in the journey by experiencing the breathtaking prints of Huangshan and meet with Kenna in person at a book-signing event to mark the first release of a new Nazraeli Press publication of the Huangshan series. Copies of the new book will be available at the Gallery. A Huangshan print accompanied by a signed book will make a perfect Christmas gift for that very special person.
