As a symbol, the torch and the ice cream cone share a same logical premise, which is the reshaping aiming at the subject’s ideology. No matter a radical revolution in the history, or the so-called pragmatism in dairy life, they are both pre-conceived in an overall utopian ideal or based on individual’s health, fashion, fortune, statue, even the freedom, significance and value. This kind of technology which aims at the subject becomes an invisible power, an identify to what is the “truth”, what is the formal and the baseness. At home, at the fashionable plaza, at beach, in cinema, in library, in art center, even as what Foucault said, in the sex, this large cage of notion has its effect. It is always tormenting, watching, punishing and imprisoning you. Because it has been internalized to be the structure of your consciousness and experience. It make you see what it wants you see, think what it wants you think, do what it wants you do. In the art, it becomes a popular mode of visual discourse, and a personal taste without reflection. It also becomes the dependence on the effectivity and rights(including academic authority), the defense on the rationalization and determinacy of economy and value of order. We name this show "truth", but it is in the structure which is parallel to the work. We didn’t give name to a show or a work, but rather constitute with the work a complete form of the show. It may be the third sense of "truth" in concept. I think it means every aspect of the whole ideology with the first two.
